I left in the dark early yesterday morning for LAX which seems appropriate. As I flew to JFK for my connecting flight to Heathrow, I was feeling excited to be traveling, the thrill of something new, a little apprehension of going into the unknown and the joy of discovery. I am choosing to follow my heart and once I decided to take the leap in 2012, many things began to fall in place. I have been downsizing and saving for 18 months for 2014 to be the year. My position at work was eliminated at the end of February this year and timing again was perfect as I had planned to move out of my apartment in March. I sold or gave away most of my belongings. Everything I now own is in a 5×10 storage space. This is my first blog post and I know that I have much to learn. Sometimes it seems overwhelming but I know that if I can take one step at a time, learning as I go, I will gain experience. And someday, I will come back to read this first blog and know so much more than I can imagine now. I am just starting out and anxious to learn how I can make a living doing what I love; traveling, photography and writing. I have arrived in London and my first adventure awaits. So here I go, off to see the world…

  4. Hey there! Brit and I just got back from London and we had a blast. Stayed in an apartment in the Picadilly Circus area near all the theaters and activity, on Shaftsbury Ave. It felt like home….I know you will have a wonderful time ( hopefully staying there a bit before France)….miss you already and I’m sorry I didn’t get to see you before you left….my dad died while we were traveling so had some additional business to take care of when I got home. Love and light my friend and I hope we talk soon…if you have or acquire an iPhone, then iMessage me sometime soon….XOXOXOXO….PS I may be heading back to London around the end of the year and will look to your posts to see if you will still be there…

Traveling writing is my favorite read and it would seem that your experiences will benefit greatly from your paring down and getting to the essence of your subjects. Seems to me you have been given a great gift. Thanks for sharing and letting all of us tag along!
